Meet Our Team
Dr. Emma received a Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine in 2018 from the National University of Natural Medicine (NUNM), an accredited medical school. She completed her primary internship year followed by two years of a family medicine residency at NUNM where she was clinical faculty. Her clinical education and post-graduate training focused on providing individualized, evidence-based, primary care to a diverse population of patients. She completed specialty rotations in cardiopulmonary medicine, IV therapy, mental health, and women’s health. Additionally, Dr. Emma completed rotations in the emergency department, community health, rural health, and a medical brigade to Nicaragua following her passion for bringing high-quality primary care and naturopathic medicine to underserved populations.
Prior to attending medical school, Dr. Emma received her Bachelor of Science from Portland State University, where she double-majored in General Science and Health Sciences: Health Studies with an emphasis in pre-medical studies. During this time she competed at the collegiate level in track and field, which led to her passion for sports medicine. Dr. Emma is known as Coach Emma at the high school where she is the head track and field coach. Dr. Emma uses her background as a coach and Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) through the American College of Sports Medicine to bring movement, fitness, and nutrition to patients to help establish habits that support their overall health and healing.
When not practicing medicine, Dr. Emma can be found spending time hiking in the gorge, pole vaulting with her track and field team, singing in choir, or reading a book with a cup of coffee.
